I have begun research towards buying my first very own car. I’ve only driven other people’s cars before, and I’m really quite intimidated.
I like small hatchbacks. My initial research suggests I could be quite happy with a Focus, but I don’t know. There’s a lot to consider with all the loan options and whatnot. I think I want a used car that’s just a couple of years old since I haven’t had to take care of one on my own before this; I can always trade it in in a year or two for something else.
The whole shenanigan makes me want my dad. I don’t even have a local mechanic I trust. As Andrea suggested, I need to find a big, bald dude to go to dealerships with me.

Yeah, that makes sense. I’m not sure whether I want to go a dealership route, CarMax, individual seller or what, but I’ll definitely do a few test drives over the next couple of weeks. I am determined not to rush this process.

The most important thing I found was to drive them. Some if you sit it, you can tell right away won’t be good for you. Others when you drive them will feel right or wrong.
